Melbourne Walks for Breast Cancer

October 11th, 2009

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s premier event to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer. More than just the name of a walk, it describes the amazing progress we’re making together to defeat this disease.  In 2006, more than $4.8 million was raised by Making Strides walkers in Florida!  This is your opportunity to join your community to celebrate breast cancer survivors, educate women about early detection and prevention, and raise money to fund lifesaving research and to support programs to help us reach a day when no one will have to hear the words “You have breast cancer”. Please walk with us as we continue to raise more funds for even more breast cancer research and patient programs to benefit Floridians battling this disease.

Between now and October 16, 2009, Brevard women are challenged to raise a minimum of $200 each. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for the fight against Breast Cancer and to make history in Brevard County to become the largest single event to reach this goal. Form a team today and join thousands of Brevard women and the American Cancer Society to make a difference in this battle and become a member of BREVARD’S MILLION DOLLAR CLUB.

Walk is Scheduled on October 24, 2009 at the Avenues at Viera at 9am. Click Here to Find Out More!
