What:The Eau Gallie Arts districk holds its monthly First Friday Art Walk Event from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in downtown Eau Gallie. During the First Friday Art Walk, art studios, galleries, shops, boutiques, and restaurants in the Eau Gallie Arts District will remain open late for a free art walk featuring exhibition openings in art galleries and area artists in Eau Gallie Square.

Velveeta Underground
When: Saturday, January 7, 2012
What: Sebastian Inlet State Park, 9700 S. Hwy A1A, continues its fall concert series with Velveeta Underground! Jim Wegman and Don Austin are Velveeta Underground who play a cultural catalogue of cover tunes that spans across the country with plenty of pitstops at the crossroad and along the slow curves. Their music intertwines classic rock, country, blues and folk on a journey through the past. All concerts are free, normal park admission charges apply. All concerts are sponsored by the Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park. The concerts are from 7 to 9 PM. The concert stage is located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet. Fear and Folly at Foosaner Art Museum, Melbourne, FL, Features Goya and Castellon
When: Jan. 14-March 18
What: Artistry and literary works collide in a new exhibition at the Foosaner Art Museum, Fear and Folly: The Visionary Prints of Francisco Goya and Federico Castellon, which opens Jan. 14 and runs through March 18. The exhibition is organized by the Kalamazoo Institute of Art, Kalamazoo, Mich.

The Irish Tenors Christmas Show

Whenever thoughts turn to Ireland and Irish Music, The Irish Tenors immediately spring to mind. The 2011 Sunshine State Eggfest will again be held on Florida’s beautiful Space Coast. Last year’s fest was a huge success with over 460 Eggheads in attendance. Last year, Big-Un was crowned the first ever, Ceramic Iron Chef. So who will be crowned this year?

The demo classes were such a success, we will bring them back again. If you would like to see what it was like, go to the Eggfest Photo page. For those that missed coming last year, the Sunshine State Eggfest is held at the host hotel on a covered deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

With so much more to do this is truly being an Eggfest and vacation to be remembered.

This years Host Hotel is the Crowne Plaza Resort in Melbourne, Florida.

• 8:00 AM: Cooks only sign in and setup
• 9:00 AM: Tasters sign in (No Earlier No Exceptions)
• 9:00 AM: Let the Eggfest Begin! The Sunshine State Eggfest begins with the traditional “Lighting of the Eggs”. Food will be available all day. Just wander from egg to egg to sample foods and discuss recipes and techniques with the cooks.
• 9:30 AM: Big Green Egg 101 Demo
• 1:00 PM: Ceramic Iron Chef Set up
• 2:00 PM: The 2011 Sunshine State Eggfest, Ceramic Iron Chef Begins

Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival

Florida’s Space Coast is among the best birding locations in North America. This is peak activity time for wintering bird populations, and this event features over 220 activities including an Exhibit Center with over 75 exhibitors, Art Competition with over $1,600 in prizes, Silent Auction, the Raptor Project, a Pelagic Boat Trip, classroom presentations, field trips, water adventures, and more. Space Coast Mardi Gras

February 25-28, 2010 -  Historic Cocoa Village

Don’t miss four days of family fun in beautiful historic downtown Cocoa Village and Riverfront Park this spring as title sponsors Bright House Networks present the City of Cocoa’s SPACE COAST MARDI GRAS. The Riverfront Park Amphitheatre will feature free entertainment all week. The Central Brevard Humane Society will present “Paws in the Park” on Sunday at 1pm. The Saturday night street party and parade of floats presented by Central Florida News 13 will feature many exciting floats, four stages of live entertainment, stilt walkers,a junk-a-roo band and exciting dancers. 30 Days of fun, sand sculpture, entertainment, competition, good food, and more! The Art of Sand Festival and Exhibition promises to be one of the largest arts and cultural events in Brevard County. This month-long event will give visitors an opportunity to experience first-hand the 10 to 12 foot sculptures created by Master Sand Sculptors from around the world, as well as other sand sculptures created by amateurs, youth and corporate teams.
